Joel Grantham is a young kiteboarder who's been making waves in the kitesurfing community since he started in the summer of 2021-2022 at just 13. His dad, a lifelong surfer from Exmouth, got him into kiteboarding in Perth, where the wind conditions are perfect for our sport. Watching heaps of videos of Kevin Langeree only added to Joel's passion for the sport, and he hasn't looked back since.

Joel is all about big air kiteboarding. He loves the rush of riding in strong winds and pulling off high jumps and big tricks. His ideal day on the water is a summer session with winds around 30-35 knots; that's when he feels most alive on the water. Joel has already achieved impressive results in the kiteboarding competition world, including 2nd place in the U18s Freestyle States, 1st place in the U18s Wave States, and 2nd place in the Men's Big Air Nationals.

When it comes to kiteboarding gear, Joel has been riding Slingshot gear for about a year now, and he's absolutely stoked with it.
