Elena Kyngdon has been hooked on kiteboarding since she started at 11 years old. Her love for the sport began during family holidays at windy beaches in Western Australia. For Elena, kiteboarding is all about being active, having fun on the water, and spending time with friends and family. What she also loves about kiteboarding is how it brings people from all over the world together. In her mind, kite travel is the perfect way to explore new places and learn about different cultures and communities in and outside Australia. 

When it comes to riding, Elena loves the technical challenges of unhooked freestyle and the thrill and freedom of strapless wave kiting. You give her 20-knot winds and flat conditions or peeling waves, and you'll never get her off the water! Elena's favourite spots are The Pond Safety Bay, Margaret River and Le Morne. 
 
Although relatively new to the sport, she has an impressively stocked trophy cabinet, having earned titles such as 2x National and State Champion Freestyle U18, National Champion Big Air U18, and runner-up Wave Nationals U18.

Elena is a Duotone team rider. For freestyle kiteboarding, she's a big fan of her Vegas 8, small Clickbar and Jamie SLS board 133.  Elena's favourite set-up in the waves is her Neo SLS 7 and Whip D/LAB. Elena loves her Duotone gear because it's the most dialled and simply the best!
